After 13 years in public school education, I have made the move to a high end private school. I have taught in rural schools, small town "urban" schools, various grade levels, socio economic levels. It's now February and I had all good intentions of writing out my year on a blog about my new position and the changes from what I have done my entire career to what I am doing now at an all boys, K-8 private, Episcopalian school in San Francisco.
My hope for this blog (at least for the remainder of this school year), is to note my observations both school wide and in the music classroom. I also hope to share some lesson plans, successes, challenges and other things as they come up.
